Lazio Player Ratings for Frustrating Loss to Torino

Lazio failed to live up to expectations in their Serie A clash with Torino, slumping to a dejected 1-0 loss.

The Biancocelesti had won seven of their last eight league games heading into their 31st Serie A match of the season, but they were unable to maintain this momentum against Ivan Juric’s side, looking tired and unfocused after an impressive run of results.

Lazio were unable to match Torino’s physicality and it left them struggling to find their rhythm, allowing Ivan Ilic to steal a winner with a well-placed long shot in the dying minutes of the first half.

The Biancocelesti were hardly more impressive in the second half and could do little but watch as the Granata grinded out their win, leaving Maurizio Sarri’s empty-handed after the full-time whistle.

Luckily for Lazio, the defeat hasn’t upset their top four hopes too much and could be an important wake-up call in the final stages of this season.
