Mario Giuffredi, the agent of Lazio star Mattia Zaccagni, has calmed fans after discussing his client’s future and new contract with the club.
The 27-year-old Italian winger has emerged as one of the most important players in Maurizio Sarri’s squad this season, being a vital source of goals and creativity in a campaign that has seen Ciro Immobile sidelined with various injuries.
This season, Zaccagni has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 38 appearances across all competitions, being a fast and tricky winger who often poses problems for his opposing defenders.
Speaking to TVPlay (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Giuffredi provided an update on the future of Zaccagni and his contract renewal talks with Lazio.
In his future there’s only Lazio, with Lotito we’re talking about the renewal, I think that Lazio will be, but I say this in advance and never with hindsight, the next team that will win the Scudetto if they will be given a couple more years of consistency.
Zaccagni’s impressive work with Lazio has seen him attract the attention of a number of clubs around Europe, including French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The Biancocelesti have no intention of selling the Italian winger in the summer and are working to tie him down to a new contract lasting until 2027.
