Lazio and Mizuno have reportedly produced a special kit to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the team’s Coppa Italia win over intercity rivals Roma.
On 26th May 2013, the Biancocelesti secured victory in the most important Derby della Capitale of all time, edging out a 1-0 win over the Giallorossi in the Coppa Italia finals, a game that saw Senad Lulic become a hero for his 71st minute strike.
This clash has become a key part of the history of the rivalry between the two Roman teams and the phrase ‘la coppa in faccia’ has become something used by Lazio fans to poke fun at their Roma counterparts.
As detailed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio have decided to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this Coppa Italia win over Roma with a series of products, starting with a special commemorative kit, which’ll be worn against Cremonese on 28th May.
The shirt will reportedly be black, with gold trimmings on the sleeves and V-shaped neckline. Below the club’s crest will be two stitched dates – 26th May 2013 and 26th May 2023 – a visible reminder of the anniversary and celebration.
