Lazio Under-19 have earnt promotion to Primavera 1 after topping Group B of the second division, sitting four points ahead of second place Ascoli with one game left to play.
The Biancocelesti’s Primavera squad were demoted from the topflight of youth football in Italy after finishing 15th in the 2020-21 season, putting them in Primavera 2.
Lazio U19 did look strong last season but only managed a fourth-place finish in the second tier, not enough to bring them back up to Primavera 1.
Lazio U19 have looked far stronger this season and quickly rose to the top of the Primavera 2 table. Out of their 29 games so far, the Roman club have won 19 and drawn five, looking ready to return to the topflight once again.
The top scorer for the Biancocelesti this season was 18-year-old Valerio Crespi, who netted 20 goals in 24 league appearances. He was helped by 17-year-old Sana Fernandes, who scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in 26 games.
