Paraguayan talent Diego Gonzalez seems set to join the Lazio first team in the summer after his incredible start to life with the Primavera squad.
The 20-year-old winger joined the Biancocelesti from Mexican side Celaya in the January transfer window on a six-month loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached, something the Roman club reportedly triggered last month.
Gonzalez has started his life with Lazio with a spring in his step, scoring nine goals and providing one assist in eight Primavera 2 appearances to help the team secure promotion back up to the topflight.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio are now expected to call up Gonzalez in the pre-season training camp in the summer, allowing him to start integrating with the first team and Maurizio Sarri.
The 20-year-old Paraguayan winger will likely be included in the squad for next season, replacing the outbound Luka Romero. He will be hoping to continue impressing in the coming months to try and carve out a regular spot for himself in the team.
