Kezman: ‘No-One Can Doubt Milinkovic-Savic’s Love for Lazio’

Mateja Kezman, the agent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, defended his client and reiterated the midfielder’s enduring love for Lazio.

It’s become accepted in the Biancocelesti environment that the 28-year-old Serbian star will leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window, finally ready to make the jump to a top side and start regularly competing for silverware.

Kezman has reportedly been working hard finding offers for Milinkovic-Savic, with Lazio hoping to earn at least €40 million from the Serbian midfielder’s sale in the summer.

Speaking in an interview with Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Kezman first discussed the various criticisms levied against Milinkovic-Savic.

There are those who use too strong words to discuss Milinkovic-Savic and his form, they are enemies of Lazio. It’s a shame, they try to create problems within the group and weaken the team.

It’s true that Sergej is not having his best moment, but in eight years he has hardly ever been below his level.

He can also have a few bad weeks, he is just a man and in his private life he can have ups and downs.

He highlighted how his client is doing everything he can to help Lazio achieve a top four finish in Serie A this season.

He is working hard these days to regain his best form and ‘die’ for the Lazio shirt in these last four matches. He is doing it to help the club reach the fantastic goal of the Champions League.

No one has the right to judge Sergej’s attitude, his loyalty, and to doubt his love for Lazio because he has shown over all these years, every single day, that he is a Lazio warrior, the Sergeant.

Finally, Kezman confirmed that he and Lazio would sit down to discuss Milinkovic-Savic’s future in the summer.

We have spoken with the president many times, months ago we agreed to let the season end, then we will have plenty of time to talk about everything.

This season, Milinkovic-Savic has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 32 Serie A appearances.
