Could Napoli’s Zielinski replace Luis Alberto at Lazio?

Despite his impressive work under Maurizio Sarri, Luis Alberto could still leave Lazio in the summer and Piotr Zielinski may be brought in to replace him.

The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder struggled to see eye to eye with Sarri during their first season together last campaign, but things have changed this year and the player is now a core part of the squad in the Italian capital.

This season, Luis Alberto has scored six goals and provided six assists in 40 games, impressing regularly, but with the summer transfer window approaching everything could change.

As detailed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Luis Alberto’s desire to return to Spain in the future is no secret and a concrete offer could arrive from La Liga this summer, something that would force Lazio to find a replacement.

Sarri is hoping for that replacement to be Zielinski, whose contract renewal talks with Napoli have stalled. With only a year left on his deal, however, president Claudio Lotito is not willing to pay more than €20 million for the Polish midfielder.
