Lazio are clearly looking to strengthen their attack in the summer and have a long list of possible options ahead of the transfer window.
The Biancocelesti have limited options up front following the departures of Felipe Caicedo and Vedat Muriqi in recent seasons, something Maurizio Sarri has desperately hoped would be addressed in the market.
The arrival of Matteo Cancellieri last summer did little to resolve the issue, forcing Felipe Anderson to adapt as a false nine when star striker Ciro Immobile has been sidelined with injuries.
As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio have identified a number of possible forwards who could fit Sarri’s squad well, with Tigre talent Mateo Retegui topping the list. The Mexican outfit want around €15 million for the Argentine-Italian striker.
Another idea is Sassuolo forward Andrea Pinamonti, but his €20 million price tag will likely prove prohibitive. Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez has also appeared on the radar, as well as Benfica’s Rava Silva and Real Madrid’s Mariano Diaz.
More exciting, though, is the interest in Sassuolo talismanic Domenico Berardi, although it won’t be easy to pry him from Reggio-Emilia.
