Sarri Asks Lazio for up to Seven Signings This Summer

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly asked Lazio to pick up seven reinforcements in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Biancocelesti worked hard to please the 64-year-old Italian coach last year and brought in a number of new signings, like Mateo Cancellieri, Marcos Antonio and Alessio Romagnoli.

Some have been more successful and well-integrated than others, and it’s become apparent this campaign that Sarri has limited options on the Lazio bench, pushing him to request another important summer transfer window.

As detailed by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Sarri believes that Lazio need to sign up to seven new players in the summer to help him continue building the project in the Italian capital.

The roles the coach would like filled are: a back-up striker, a winger, three midfielders (a replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a mezzala and a defensive anchor), a centre back and a back-up goalkeeper.

Securing qualification to the Champions League would give the Biancocelesti far more resources to work with in the summer, making the final few weeks of this season vitally important.
