Federico Bernardeschi has struggled to impress at Toronto FC lately and he could leave in the summer to return to Italy, with Lazio and Milan both keen to pick up the winger.
The 29-year-old Italian forward surprised many by joining the MLS outfit last July after his contract expired with Juventus, joining up with compatriot Lorenzo Insigne at the Canadian club.
Things initially started well for Bernardeschi, who managed eight goals in his first 13 MLS appearances, but this campaign has proven more difficult, with less impressive work on the pitch and reports suggesting a lack of professionalism off of it.
As reported by DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando, Bernardeschi is seemingly on the way out of Toronto FC and could return to Serie A in the summer, with Lazio and Milan both interested in signing the 29-year-old.
The former Juventus forward is represented by agent Beppe Bozzo and after an impressive start in the MLS, his time in North America seems to be drawing to a close.
I think he’s on a large pay packet with Toronto so may need to take a cut to join …. Think there’s better options for that type of salary…
