Lazio & Atalanta Set Sights on Real Madrid Loanee Reinier

Reports from Spain suggest that Lazio and Atalanta are both interested in making a move for Brazilian talent Reinier Jesus.

The Biancocelesti are gearing up for an important summer transfer window, hoping to bring in four or five new players to allow Maurizio Sarri’s side to take the next step following their successful qualification to the Champions League.

One thing that has frustrated Sarri and Lazio this season has been a lack of viable options on the bench, limiting the coach’s ability to make changes mid-game and forcing the team to focus on just one competition.

As reported by AS and ESPN (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), both Lazio and Atalanta are considering picking up Reinier in the summer, keen to add the talented forward to their squads.

The 21-year-old Brazilian was purchased by Real Madrid for around €30 million in January 2020 but has never broken into the first team, instead spending time on loan with Borussia Dortmund and Girona.

The player is keen to relaunch his career after a difficult few years and his agent Giuliano Bertolucci made it clear that his client wants to stay in Europe.
