Lazio have started to plan their upcoming pre-season preparations, setting up friendlies against Aston Villa, Barcelona and Juventus.
The Biancocelesti secured an unexpected second place finish in Serie A in the 2022-23 season, booking their spot in the Champions League and picking up their highest finish in the league since their Scudetto winning campaign back in 1999-2000.
Maurizio Sarri is hoping that Lazio will pick up four or five new players in the coming months to add more depth to the squad and give him the resources to compete on multiple fronts. In the meantime, he has started to draw up plans for the pre-season.
As reported by Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio will carry out a training camp in Auronzo di Cadore from 11th to 28th July, giving the players a little over a fortnight to work closely with the coach in a more relaxed environment.
No second training camp will be held, and instead a number of friendlies have been planned.
The Biancocelesti will travel to England from 2nd to 4th August to face Aston Villa in a friendly, before heading to Spain to play Barcelona on 8th August. On the 13th, Sarri’s side will face off against Juventus at an undecided location.
