Lazio Keen to Keep Juventus Loanee Pellegrini but Open to Alternatives

Lazio will work to retain Luca Pellegrini but need to iron out an agreement with Juventus, so they’re still keeping an eye on some other options.

The 24-year-old Italian full back joined the Biancocelesti on loan in January after a six-month spell with Eintracht Frankfurt. He struggled to feature particularly often under Maurizio Sarri, only seeing 243 minutes of action across eight appearances.

Alfredo Pedulla highlights how Lazio are hoping to set up a new deal with Juventus for Pellegrini, possibly another loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached, with deferred payments allowing them to keep the costs down. They’re not keen to pay more than €10 million for the 24-year-old.

An agreeable salary will also need to be found with the Italian full back, who earns over €3 million net per season in Turin.

Should a deal not be found, Lazio could turn their attention to Empoli talent Fabiano Parisi, a player the club have kept their eye on for over a year now.

A third option is Emerson Palmieri, who is contracted to West Ham until 2026. Should there be room for talks, this idea could start to gather steam.
