Unnamed Ligue 1 Club Submits Offer for Luis Alberto

An unnamed Ligue 1 club has reportedly submitted a concrete offer for Lazio star Luis Alberto ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder had a good season in the Italian capital, seeing eye to eye with coach Maurizio Sarri and showing off all his usual talents in an impressive campaign that saw the team finish second.

With his Lazio contract expiring in 2025, Luis Alberto’s future has again become the topic of discussion, with Sarri keen to retain the player despite his seemingly endless temptations to leave the club.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), a top French club – possibly Olympique Marseille – have submitted a €12 million offer for Luis Alberto, hoping to snap up the Lazio star in the coming months.

The Biancocelesti are working to offer the 30-year-old a new contract and have started to draw up a deal worth around €3 million net per season.

Newcastle United are also keen on picking up Luis Alberto but Lazio don’t want to lose him, so Claudio Lotito will meet with his entourage in the coming days to try and resolve the situation.
