Lazio have reportedly submitted an official offer for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Biancocelesti are hungry to strengthen their squad in the coming months, giving Maurizio Sarri the tools to compete in multiple fronts following the team’s qualification to the Champions League.
One of Lazio’s priorities is picking up a new winger and their top target for this is Berardi, who has consistently impressed with Sassuolo over the last few years, seeming ready for the jump to a top side.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio have offered Sassuolo €20 million plus Matteo Cancellieri for Berardi, hoping the offer will prove convincing for Giovanni Carnevali.
The offer is still below the Neroverdi’s requests, however, as they are hoping to pick up at least €30 million for their talismanic winger.
Contracted to Sassuolo until 2027, Berardi scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 26 Serie A appearances this season.
He never wanted the smoke, that’s why he is still with Sassuolo so now we will find out if he finally is ready.
