Juventus Offer Unneeded Midfielder Arthur to Lazio

Juventus have reportedly offered Arthur Melo to Lazio as they look to lower the costs of a deal for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Biancocelesti are hoping to sell the Serbian star in the coming months, concerned that he could possibly leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2024. Claudio Lotito is hoping to earn at least €35 million from the sale of Milinkovic-Savic.

Maurizio Sarri is expecting some key midfield reinforcements to arrive this summer and highlighted Juventus talent Nicolo Rovella as a top option, but the Bianconeri have made it clear that he won’t be leaving Turin in the coming months.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Juventus have suggested sending Arthur to Lazio instead of Rovella, hoping the Brazilian can lower the costs of a deal for Milinkovic-Savic.

The 26-year-old midfielder spent the 2022-23 season on loan with Liverpool, a move that didn’t pay off as he suffered a serious injury that kept him sidelined for the majority of the campaign. He made just one appearance for the Reds first team.

  1. Sergej should sign another year with us, but he is likely not to do so. In that case, I don’t care anymore if he stays in Serie A with Juve or other teams as long as we make the best out of it and then re-invest it all with smart moves that Sarri approves of.

These are the two parameters that we must be sticking to: 1-re invest everything
2-do it the way Sarri wants and give him full power of DS if needed be.

    All for Lazio 🤍💙

  2. Oh, I said in a past comment that I will start asking where we stand with the stadium project? Can Lotito(now with a seat at the big room) push for us to start that bloody building/refurbishing please? Any news? On this occasion it is a direct question to Laziali.com but in the future comments I will make it won’t be for that, rather for the readers to start thinking and pushing for it. Everything started with a thaught so let’s do more till it manifests with the actions to support it.

    Forza Lazio 🤍💙
