Inter want to keep defender Francesco Acerbi and so they’re gearing up for negotiations with Lazio.
The 35-year-old Italian defender left the Roman capital last summer to join up with Simone Inzaghi at the Nerazzurri, arriving on a loan deal with a €4 million buy option attached. He impressed during his year in Lombardy, showing why he’s such a good fit for the Italian coach.
Acerbi seemingly has no intention of returning to Lazio this summer and Inter want to keep the centre back, so the two parties will meet soon to discuss the Italian’s future.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Inter are planning to ask for a discount on Acerbi’s €4 million buy option, but Claudio Lotito is not interested in letting the Lazio loanee for anything less than agreed.
Things could change, however, if talented youngsters like Giovanni Fabbian or Mattia Zanotti are included in the talks.
