Details Behind Al Hilal Offer for Luis Alberto

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have submitted a rich offer for Lazio star Luis Alberto ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder was one of the best players in Maurizio Sarri’s squad this season, playing a key role in the team’s impressive second place finish in Serie A. He scored six goals and provided seven assists in 35 league appearances this campaign.

With Sergej Milinkovic-Savic on the way out of Lazio in the coming months, Sarri has made it clear to Claudio Lotito that he doesn’t want to lose Luis Alberto, so the club have been working on drawing up a new contract for the 30-year-old.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini, Al Hilal have offered Luis Alberto a contract worth €8 million net per season and proposed a deal to Lazio worth €12 million with €3 million in add-ons.

Lotito wants €20 million for the Spanish midfielder, who is pushing to leave the club to head to Saudi Arabia. Two meetings have already occurred and a move away from the Italian capital is now looking increasingly likely for the 30-year-old.

Luis Alberto had asked for a significant raise when discussing his new Lazio contract, wanting to be paid around €4 million net per season, the same as club captain Ciro Immobile.
