Lazio Keeping Tabs on Outgoing Udinese Captain Pereyra

Udinese captain Roberto Pereyra is preparing to leave the club on a free transfer and Lazio are one of the clubs interested in picking him up on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old Argentinian midfielder has been with the Bianconeri since September 2020 after leaving Watford. He’s been a key part of the squad in the Friulian capital since his arrival, being handed the captain’s armband.

After three years, Pereyra is ready to leave Udinese again. His contract expires with the club at the end of this month and won’t be renewed, making him an interesting and reliable free agent this summer.

As reported by Il Tempo (via LazioNews24), Lazio are keeping an eye on Pereyra but first would need to lighten up their midfield before making an offer to the 32-year-old.

In the background, Fiorentina and Milan are both keen and have already sounded out a possible move for the Argentine midfielder.

This season, Pereyra scored five goals and provided eight assists in 34 Serie A appearances for Udinese.
