Inter Open Talks With Lazio Star Milinkovic-Savic

Inter have reportedly opened talks with agent Mateja Kezman as they explore a move for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 28-year-old Serbian midfielder seems destined to leave the Italian capital this summer, making it clear that he doesn’t want to sign a new contract with the club. This has been known for a while now, but lucrative offers have not arrived for the talented player.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is concerned about the prospect of losing Milinkovic-Savic on a free transfer, so will likely have to settle for around €30 million this summer, almost €10 million less than he was hoping for initially.

As reported by Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic’s agent Kezman has already been contacted by Inter and the midfielder has made it clear that he’d be happy to link back up with Simone Inzaghi at the club.

Lazio loanee Francesco Acerbi could also be involved in negotiations between the two clubs. Maurizio Sarri wants this situation to be resolved quickly, keen to know which players he’ll have at his disposal for next season.
