What’s Next for Luis Alberto & Lazio After Al Hilal Offer?

Lazio now need to decide if they want to match the requests of Luis Alberto following the lucrative offer made by Saudi side Al Hilal.

The Saudi Arabian outfit have reportedly offered the 30-year-old Spanish midfielder a multi-year contract worth around €8 million net per season, hoping to convince him to make the jump to the Middle East. For Lazio, an offer worth around €12 million plus €3 million in add-ons has been proposed.

Maurizio Sarri has made it clear that he doesn’t want to lose Luis Alberto this summer, especially if Sergej Milinkovic-Savic departs, so Lazio have been working on negotiating a new long-term contract with the Spaniard.

Alfredo Pedulla details how Luis Alberto wants a new contract with Lazio worth around €4 million net per season plus easily attainable add-ons, the same figures as club captain Ciro Immobile.

Claudio Lotito is now at a crossroads, needing to decide if he wants to match the 30-year-old’s requests or try to sell him for as much as possible to Al Hilal.

The Lazio president also wants to understand if Luis Alberto really wants to leave Rome this summer or is simply trying to push for a better deal in the Italian capital.
