Salernitana want to sign Matteo Cancellieri this summer and could swap either Boulaye Dia or Federico Bonazzoli for the Lazio talent.
The Granata have had their sights set on the 21-year-old Italian forward for a number of weeks now, believing he’d be a good fit for their squad in Campania.
Cancellieri failed to break into Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio squad in his debut season, seeing just 602 minutes of action in 30 appearances across all competitions.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Salernitana want to sign Cancellieri this summer and are open to a player swap with Lazio, hoping to send Federico Bonazzoli to the Italian capital in exchange.
The Biancocelesti are more interested in Dia, however. The Senegalese striker scored 16 goals in 33 games this season, but would cost more at around €25 million.
Updates are expected in the coming weeks, with Lazio keen to complete some transfer market business before the start of their pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore next month.
