Lazio are on the verge of completing a deal with Sassuolo for star winger Domenico Berardi, reports suggest.
The 28-year-old Italian forward has become the club’s top priority for this summer transfer window, with Claudio Lotito keen to add a talented winger to Maurizio Sarri’s squad following the team’s Champions League qualification.
Berardi has reportedly agreed to the terms of a deal with Lazio, happy to sign a four-year contract worth around €3.5 million net per season including add-ons. The club have been in close contact with Sassuolo in recent weeks to try and iron out an agreement.
As reported by Il Tempo (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio and Sassuolo are close to reaching an agreement regarding the transfer of Berardi, with the Roman club looking to pay around €19-20 million plus add-ons which would take the overall costs to €22 million.
Berardi was convinced of the move by both Sarri’s presence on the bench and the Champions League qualification. Updates are expected soon, with the Biancocelesti hungry to finalise proceedings soon.
