Lazio have reportedly changed their plans for their upcoming pre-season preparations, cancelling one of the friendlies set up for the summer.
The Biancocelesti are gearing up for their usual pre-season training retreat to Auronzo di Cadore, where they’ll stay from 11th to 28th July, allowing Maurizio Sarri to work closely with his players ahead of the coming campaign.
Lazio hope to carry out some transfer market business ahead of their pre-season retreat, giving the new signings the chance to properly integrate into Sarri’s squad and learn the mechanisms of his system.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio have changed their plans and have cancelled their pre-season friendly with Juventus, scheduled for mid-August. Instead, the team will stay in Formello to prepare for the 2023-24 season.
The friendlies kick off on 16th July with Primorje, before facing Triestina on the 23rd and then Nogometni Klub Bravo on the 27th.
After returning to Rome, the Biancocelesti will play Aston Villa on 3rd August before facing Barcelona on the 8th or 9th, although this still hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
