Lazio have presented their new offer to Santos for talented striker Marcos Leonardo and are now pushing to reach an agreement.
The 20-year-old Brazilian striker has emerged as the Biancocelesti’s top pick to strengthen Maurizio Sarri’s attack this summer, attracting the attention of Claudio Lotito with his impressive work at the Under-20 World Cup, where he scored five goals in five games.
Santos are willing to sell Marcos Leonardo this summer and have been in talks with Lazio for a few weeks now. The first offer of around €10 million was sent back to Rome, so a new proposal was drawn up.
As highlighted by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have now offered Santos a deal worth €12 million plus a future resale clause for Marcos Leonardo. This has allowed negotiations to move forward.
Now, the two clubs are trying to agree on the figures of the resale clause; Santos would like this to be 30% whilst Lazio are hoping for 20%.
Offer them 13 mil and 10% and it’s a wrap or get it 12 and resale at 25% (middle)
