Lazio are starting to consider a possible move for FC Basel striker Zeki Amdouni this summer, reports suggest.
The Biancocelesti are searching for a new backup forward to bolster Maurizio Sarri’s attack and have been focusing their efforts on Santos’ Marcos Leonardo.
Talks are progressing slowly and there’s no guarantee of a move this summer, so Lazio are also looking around for alternatives.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have started to keep an eye on FC Basel’s Amdouni, believing the 22-year-old could be a good fit for Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
The Swiss striker is not the most prolific goalscorer but regularly plays an important role in the build-up, being comfortable with his back to goal.
Other clubs are interested in making a move for Amdouni but he’d be happy to make the switch to Lazio, keen to play in the Champions League. He is valued at around €12 million by the Swiss club.
