Lazio Edge Closer to Deal for AZ Alkmaar’s Kerkez

Lazio are reportedly edging closer to a deal for AZ Alkmaar left back Milos Kerkez, having sent in their first offer.

The Biancocelesti are keen to rejuvenate their squad a little this summer and give Maurizio Sarri more options to work with following the Champions League qualification.

Kerkez impressed Sarri and Lazio during the 4-2 aggregate loss to AZ in the Europa Conference League last season, standing out with his offensive play and defensive contributions.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio have sent in their first offer to AZ for Kerkez – a €2.5 million loan deal with an €11m obligation to buy clause attached.

The 19-year-old Hungarian left back has already identified the Biancocelesti as his preferred option, keen to play in Serie A and the Champions League.

Last season, Kerkez scored five goals and provided seven assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, looking a good fit for Sarri’s system in Rome.

  1. I think Milos could stay like Radu, for life 🙏 i wish Szoboszlai would’ve been here too but Liverpool snapped him up.
