Lazio Captain Immobile Rejects Lucrative Saudi Offer

Ciro Immobile has no intention of leaving Lazio and recently rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi side Al-Shabab, reports suggest.

Saudi Arabian clubs have been causing ripples in the European transfer market this summer, using their newfound investment from sovereign wealth fund PIF to attract numerous well-known players to the Saudi Pro League.

Offers from Saudi Arabia have already arrived for a handful of Lazio figures like Luis Alberto, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Maurizio Sarri, but all were rejected.

As reported by La Repubblica (via TMW), Immobile recently turned down a lucrative offer from Al-Shabab, worth around €35m net over two years.

The 33-year-old Italian striker had no intention of accepting, wanting to close out his career with the Biancocelesti. He is contracted to the club until June 2026 and seems destined to retire in Rome.

Last season, Immobile scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 31 Serie A appearances, dealing with a number of minor injuries across the campaign.
