Juventus centre back Leonardo Bonucci reportedly offered himself to Lazio as he looks to find a new home.

The 36-year-old Italian centre back is no longer part of Massimiliano Allegri’s project in Turin and the club are keen to move him on a year before his contract expires.

Bonucci currently earns around €12 million gross per season, making him the fifth highest earner in the Juventus squad, so the club are hoping to see him depart in the coming months, waiting for offers from the Premier League or the MLS.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Bonucci and his entourage approached Lazio to offer his services this summer, keen to remain in Serie A and play semi-regularly in order to maintain his spot in the Italy squad.

The Biancocelesti quickly rejected the proposal, not interested in signing the veteran defender. The club are focusing on other targets, like a midfielder, a right winger and a backup striker.
