Lazio Accept Al-Hilal Offer for Milinkovic-Savic

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Lazio have accepted an official offer from Al-Hilal for star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 28-year-old Serbian midfielder has entered the last year of his contract with the Biancocelesti and is angling for a move away from Rome this summer, not interested in discussing a new deal.

Inter and Juventus have both approached Lazio to discuss a move for Milinkovic-Savic but risk being scared off by his €40 million price tag, something Claudio Lotito is not willing to compromise on.

As detailed by Di Marzio, Al-Hilal have officially presented a €40 million offer to Lazio for Milinkovic-Savic, which was accepted by the club.

The Saudi Arabian side are now in talks with the player and his agent Mateja Kezman, working to try and agree personal terms, with the club offering around €20 million net per season. Current indications suggest that he’s open to making the move.

Should the move go through, it would seemingly be a disappointing end to Milinkovic-Savic’s career in European football and could compromise his place in the Serbian national team.

The 28-year-old Serbian star is now in the peak of his career and he shined last season for Lazio, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists across 36 Serie A appearances, playing a crucial role in the team’s successful fight for Champions League football.
