Lazio Ready to Announce New Luis Alberto Contract

Luis Alberto has already reportedly signed his new Lazio contract, which is expected to be announced this week.

The 30-year-old Spaniard shined last season under Maurizio Sarri, playing a crucial role in the team’s successful fight for a Champions League spot with his six goals and seven assists in 35 Serie A matches.

Sarri made it clear to Lazio that he didn’t want to lose Luis Alberto this summer, especially if Sergej Milinkovic-Savic does depart, so talks over a new contract have been ongoing for weeks.

As reported by TMW, Lazio have now finalised all the details of Luis Alberto’s new contract, which he has already signed ahead of the official announcement, which is expected to arrive in the coming days.

The Spanish midfielder will be contracted to the club until 2027, with an option for a further year, and will earn around €4 million net per season, making him one of the highest earners in the squad.
