Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly only a step away from completing his €40 million move to Al-Hilal.
News broke yesterday that the Saudi Arabian side were working to sign the 28-year-old Serbian midfielder, offering him a three-year deal worth around €60 million total.
Milinkovic-Savic has less than a year left on his contract with Lazio and is not interested in signing a new deal, making a sale this summer the best solution for all parties.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, all the paperwork has been completed for Milinkovic-Savic’s transfer to Al-Hilal, with the only thing needed now being the decisive signature from Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
The Biancocelesti will reportedly earn around €40 million from the sale of the Serbian star, a fee no Italian club was willing to pay this summer. Juventus and Inter both expressed interest but moved away to focus on other targets.
Milinkovic-Savic shined last season for Lazio, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists across 36 Serie A appearances.
