Lotito Sets Lazio Budget for Summer Transfer Window

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has reportedly decided the parameters of the club’s budget for the summer transfer window.

The Biancocelesti did well last season, qualifying for the Champions League with their second-place finish. One clear limitation, however, was a lack of strong options on the bench.

Lazio have been quiet in the summer so far but this week sold star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal, earning around €42 million total from his departure.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lotito has set a €60 million budget for Lazio for this summer’s transfer window, wanting to pick up around five or six new players.

The reason for this figure is due to the various other costs associated with transfers, like commissions and fees.

The Biancocelesti have a few key roles which need to be filled this summer, including a backup striker, a replacement for Milinkovic-Savic and a right winger.

A number of players are being considered and business could start being completed in the coming weeks.
