When Castellanos Will Join the Lazio Squad

Valentin Castellanos has successfully completed his medicals with Lazio and is set to join the squad later this week.

The Biancocelesti have agreed a deal with New York City FC for the 24-year-old Argentinian striker, willing to pay around €15 million plus €5 million in add-ons. The player will sign a five-year deal worth €1.8 million net per season.

Castellanos arrived in Rome yesterday to undergo his medicals with Lazio. Everything went well, but he won’t head up to Auronzo di Cadore to join Maurizio Sarri and the squad just yet.

As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Castellanos is set to fly to Barcelona today to sort out some bureaucratic issues related to his visa. Should all go to plan, he’ll join the squad in Auronzo on Thursday evening.

Rumours have emerged of a possible stall in the deal due to agent commissions. Both Castellanos and his entourage have signed the contracts and the only thing missing now is Claudio Lotito’s countersignature, which is set to arrive in the coming hours.

  1. We need you in Auronzo asap for Sarris sake.

Lotito start pushing the eeals we need faster, we are too slow.

Taty🇦🇷 WELCOME TO SS LAZIO 🦅🤍💙 te voglio bene 🙏

  2. Lotito is always slow in the market. No ambitious team manager can put up with such style.
