Lazio are in close contact with Galatasaray and have reportedly presented a new offer for Lucas Torreira.
The Biancocelesti sold star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal earlier this month for around €42 million total, leaving a gaping hole in Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
The club are in the market for one or two new midfielders and one of Sarri’s preferred options is Torreira, who proved himself last season with Galatasaray after an uncertain few years.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio spoke about Galatasaray and Torreira’s agent Pablo Bentancur yesterday to present a new offer for the midfielder – €12 million plus €3 million in add-ons.
The Turkish side want a flat €15 million fee and negotiations are ongoing. La Lazio Siamo Noi highlights how things are progressing well and personal terms could even be agreed in the coming days.
Lazio have already started their pre-season preparations in Auronzo di Cadore and Sarri is anxious to welcome some new signings soon ahead of the coming campaign.
