Immobile Wants Raise in New Lazio Contract

Lazio captain Ciro Immobile is reportedly hoping to be offered a raise in his new contract with Lazio.

The 33-year-old Italian striker’s agent Marco Sommella arrived at the club’s training retreat in Auronzo di Cadore this weekend to meet with club president Claudio Lotito.

Lotito made it clear that he has no intention of selling Immobile, who has been heavily linked with a possible move to Saudi Arabia, and the pair discussed the margins of a new contract in Rome.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Immobile is hoping to be offered a raise in his new contract with Lazio, increasing his salary from the current €4 million net per season.

The 33-year-old Italian striker is hoping that talks with Lotito progress and is aware that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was offered a deal worth €6 million net per season before he made his €42 million move to Al-Hilal.

Minor injuries limited Immobile’s effectiveness last season, seeing him score just 12 goals in 31 Serie A appearances.
