Lazio Closing in on Dynamo Moscow Midfielder Zakharyan

Lazio are negotiating with Dynamo Moscow for midfielder Arsen Zakharyan and have sent in multiple offers as they edge closer to a deal.

The Biancocelesti sold star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal for €42 million total earlier this month but still haven’t picked up a replacement for the Serb, leaving a gaping hole in Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

Lazio’s only signing so far of the summer is striker Valentin Castellanos from New York City, causing some concern with less than a month to go until the start of the 2023-24 season.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio are keen to pick up Zakharyan and have already sent in two offers to Dynamo Moscow.

The first was around €10 million and the improved bid is worth circa €13-14 million total – €11 million as a fixed fee plus €2-3 million in add-ons. The Russian side want €15 million for the talented 20-year-old.

Talks are ongoing and the hope is that things can be finalised soon, allowing Zakharyan to start working with Sarri and his new Lazio teammates quickly.
