Lazio Closing Deal for Eintracht Frankfurt Midfielder Djibril Sow

Lazio have reportedly agreed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for midfielder Djibril Sow, who’ll sign a five-year contract.

The Biancocelesti have been incredibly quiet in the first month of the summer transfer window, only completing a deal with New York City for striker Valentin Castellanos.

Lazio sold star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal for €42 million earlier this month and still haven’t picked up any replacements, causing some concern for coach Maurizio Sarri.

As reported by various outlets including GOAL Italia and Sky Sports Italia, Lazio have agreed to pay Eintracht Frankfurt around €16 million for Djibril Sow, who’ll sign a five-year deal in Rome worth around €2 million net per season plus add-ons.

The 26-year-old Swiss midfielder joined the German side from Young Boys in July 2019 for around €14m. He went on to make 160 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing 13 assists.

He is an experienced international, having made 38 caps for the Swiss national team since his debut in 2018. He took part in both Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

  1. Hudson-Odoi, Sow, the Russian lad and likely Pellegrini in the end for the LB and we are starting to have a shape for 3 competitions.

If we relocate Kamenovic and other unwanted players like Fares and assuming Inter want Marusic/Lazzari (or a Saudi club), we are taking shape and can bring in even more players who suit Sarris tactics.

C’mon Lotito be super active now.
