Luis Alberto Misses Lazio Training After Cryptic Message

Luis Alberto missed Lazio’s morning training session today after spark controversy with his words on social media yesterday.

The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer but ultimately rejected the offer after agreeing to the terms of a new contract with the Biancocelesti.

Lazio have already lost star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer and Maurizio Sarri made it clear that he doesn’t want to lose Luis Alberto as well.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Luis Alberto spoke out on social media yesterday, seemingly referencing the fact that his contract renewal with Lazio hasn’t been finalised yet, posting: “There is a limit beyond which patience ceases to be a virtue.”

It doesn’t appear to be a coincidence that this post was made just hours after Pedro’s new contract was officially announced.

Luis Alberto didn’t show up for the morning training session in Auronzo di Cadore today, instead spending time in the medical department before heading off.
