Lazio have officially announced that winger Pedro Ledesma has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 35-year-old Spaniard joined the Biancocelesti on a free transfer in the summer of 2021 after a brief one-year spell with intercity rivals Roma, keen to work with coach Maurizio Sarri again.
Pedro has proven himself an important part of Sarri’s project at Lazio and has impressed since his arrival, being a key leader on the pitch and helping the team qualify for the Champions League.
As announced, Pedro has now signed a new one-year deal with Lazio, keeping him at the club until June 2024.
Since his arrival at the Biancocelesti, Pedro has made 87 appearances across all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists.
Lazio are in the market for a new right winger, suggesting that the 2010 World Cup winner will start transitioning into more of a backup role.
