What’s Going On With Lazio & Djibril Sow?

Lazio have an agreement in place for midfielder Djibril Sow but things are moving slowly after the emergence of Sevilla and Napoli.

On Tuesday, reports emerged that the Biancocelesti had agreed a deal worth circa €16 million total for the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder, who’d already verbally agreed to a five-year contract with the club, worth around €2 million net per season.

48 hours later, things suddenly looked far more complicated. Sevilla and Napoli both reportedly emerged to try and steal the Swiss midfielder’s signature, leaving Lazio in a tough spot.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Djibril Sow is now seriously considering his next steps and is expected to give an answer to Lazio and the other interested clubs soon.

In the meantime, Claudio Lotito spoke closely with Maurizio Sarri yesterday, where the president tried to convince the coach of the Swiss midfielder’s qualities and suitability for the squad. Whilst this was a success, Sarri still hasn’t spoken to Sow personally.

  1. Enough of this nonsense.
Lotito should sell the club to the Arabians and let’s buy players that can help the club compete.. Lazio is not a pale shadow of its past glory…

  2. Lotito is going on… cheap asss team… let’s sell the club and get lotito out NOW!!!!…
Lazio cannot continue to be a mediocre club!

  3. This team NEEDS a president who is willing to spend some money and buy the right players to form a strong competitive team. Lotito is has proven over and over again that this is NOT his intentions.
