Lazio Could Make a Move for Hazard, Rumours Suggest

Rumours linking Lazio with free agent Eden Hazard have started to spread like wildfire amongst Biancocelesti circles.

The Roman club have been incredibly quiet in the first month of the summer transfer window, only completing one signing so far – striker Valentin Castellanos from New York City. Star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was sold to Al-Hilal for €42 million, leaving a gaping hole in the squad.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito tried to reassure the fans at the Auronzo di Cadore retreat recently, when he promised to ‘blow everyone away’ with an upcoming signing.

As highlighted by both LazioNews24 and La Lazio Siamo Noi, rumours suggest that Lazio may be looking to make a move for Hazard, who is currently a free agent after leaving Real Madrid.

The 32-year-old Belgian winger did not have a positive experience in the Spanish capital, dealing with numerous injuries and poor form across his four-year spell at the club, seeing just over 3700 minutes of action in that time.

  1. Lotito is too cheap to buy a single player, despite he sold SMS for hugh amount to SA. Its a shame. Roma have a better mercato so far…much better

  2. Heh, this is funny… I play PES and Lazio (controlled by computer) in my Master League season really did signed Hazard 🙂
