Sarri Refused Lazio Move for Manchester United’s Fred

Lazio reportedly had the chance to sign Manchester United midfielder Fred but Maurizio Sarri refused to sign off on the deal.

The Biancocelesti have only made one signing so far this summer, picking up striker Valentin Castellanos from New York City, and the slow work has started to cause concern for both the coach and the supporters.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito promised the fans at Auronzo di Cadore recently that he’d blow them away with the new signings, but things have remained quiet despite his confidence.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), the signing that Lotito was referring to was Fred, who’d been offered to Lazio through the same intermediary as the one who’d been working on the Daichi Kamada deal.

Lotito liked the idea of signing the 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder, but Sarri refused to accept the idea, making it clear that he had no interest in working with the Manchester United man, forcing the Biancocelesti to switch course.

  1. Decent player but what is it a loan or a free. Probably pay extortionate wages for him.

We want youth like that young Russian player or Ricci. We can keep for years and sell on.

I would take Scott McTominy !!
