Sarri Pushing for Lazio to Sign Torino Talent Ricci

Maurizio Sarri is desperate for Lazio to sign Samuele Ricci this summer and is pushing for the Torino midfielder.

Tensions have started to grow in the Biancocelesti environment regarding the slow work in the summer transfer window. Only one player has arrived so far, striker Valentin Castellanos from New York City FC.

Lazio sold star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal earlier this month for around €42 million and still haven’t picked up any replacements yet, leaving Sarri in a concerning position with just a few weeks to go until the new season.

As reported by Tuttosport (via LazioNews24), Ricci is still Sarri’s number one target to strengthen Lazio’s midfield this summer and he’s pushing Claudio Lotito to try and convince him to invest the €25 million needed to secure the Torino talent.

The 21-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Granata until June 2026, scored two goals and provided one assist in 32 total appearances last season.

  1. Yes, Samiluele Ricci is great and promising box-to-box CM. That would be a wonderful choice. Get him, he’s worth the price.
