Lazio have prepared a contract for Daichi Kamada and are now waiting for a response from the Japanese midfielder.
The 26-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expired last month. He was heavily linked with a move to Milan, but they decided to focus on other targets following the departures of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.
With only a few weeks to go until the start of the 2023-24 season, Kamada is still unattached and is keen to find a new club soon.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio reopened talks with Kamada recently and have now taken a key step forward, accepting his demands of a €4m net per season salary plus add-ons.
There are no problems regarding the agent fees either, so the ball is now entirely in the 26-year-old’s court. A response is expected in the coming days.
In the meantime, Lazio are also working on a deal for Torino talent Samuele Ricci. They are hoping to lower his €30m asking price and a new round of talks will take place soon.
