Improved Lazio Offer for Ricci Turned Down by Torino

Lazio sent in a new offer for Samuele Ricci but it was promptly rejected by Torino, pushing them to improve their bid.

The Roman club have started to become more active in the summer transfer window following a long meeting between Maurizio Sarri and Claudio Lotito, where the coach expressed his concerns over the lack of progress in the market.

Lazio are currently in talks with both free agent Daichi Kamada and free agent Gustav Isaksen, and they’re also expected to pick up a new left back before the end of the window.

As reported by Tuttosport (via TMW), Lazio presented Torino a new offer for Ricci – €20 million plus €3-4 million in add-ons – which was rejected.

The Granata value their talented midfielder at around €30 million and a new bid is expected to be sent in soon, worth around €25 million plus add-ons.

Sarri specifically highlighted Ricci to Lotito months ago and is now hoping to see the Italian talent arrive, needing a key reinforcement in the midfield following the sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

  1. Right, but don’t expect Ricci to directly replace SMS. Ricci is hard working box-to-box CM yet he’s miles away from Sergej’s offensive capabilities.
