Lazio Reach Verbal Agreement With Kamada

Lazio have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with free agent Daichi Kamada, who is expected to complete his move this week.

The Biancocelesti recently reopened talks with the 26-year-old Japanese talent, who is currently unattached following his exit from Eintracht Frankfurt last month. He was linked with moves to Milan and Roma, but neither materialised.

Lazio have been increasingly active in the transfer window following a recent meeting between Maurizio Sarri and Claudio Lotito, where the coach expressed his frustrations over the lack of progress in the market.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini, Lazio have now agreed to the terms of a contract with Kamada, who is set to join the club on a two-year contract with an option for a third.

The Japanese midfielder will earn around €3 million net per season plus add-ons and will also receive commissions and a signing bonus totalling €4 million. He is expected to put pen to paper on Thursday or the following days.

The move was helped by sponsors, with Japanese sportswear company and Biancocelesti kit producers Mizuno facilitating the deal.
