Kamada Completes Medicals Ahead of Lazio Move

Daichi Kamada has completed his medicals with Lazio ahead of his free transfer to the club.

The 26-year-old Japanese midfielder has agreed to sign a four-year contract with the Biancocelesti, understood to be worth around €3-3.5 million net per season. Some reports suggest that he’ll also be paid a signing bonus, but others disagree, making it unclear.

Kamada was heavily linked with a move to Milan earlier this summer but began to slip out of their plans following the dismissals of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. After some exploratory contacts from clubs in Spain, Lazio emerged with serious interest in him.

As has been widely reported today, Kamada arrived at the Paideia clinic in Rome this morning to complete his pre-transfer medicals with Lazio, ready to sign a four-year contract.

A key factor behind the 26-year-old’s transfer was the presence of kit suppliers Mizuno, who helped bring the Japanese midfielder to the club.

Lazio are also working to complete the arrival of winger Gustav Isaksen, who is expected to complete his medicals next week.
