Official: Lazio Sign Daichi Kamada on a Free Transfer

Lazio have officially announced the arrival of Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old has become the Biancocelesti’s second signing of the summer transfer window, following striker Valentin Castellanos, and he is expected to be the replacement for star man Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who was sold to Al-Hilal for €42 million last month.

As announced, Daichi Kamada has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third with Lazio, understood to be worth around €4 million net per season plus add-ons, as well as a €5 million signing bonus.

The 27-year-old Japanese midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Milan in recent months and even agreed to the terms of a contract, but things changed after the Rossoneri decided to dismiss directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.

Kamada spent four years with Eintracht Frankfurt from 2019 to 2023, making 179 appearances across all competitions. In that time, he scored 40 goals and provided 33 assists, shining in a variety of midfield roles.
