Sarri Concerned After Lazio Loss to Aston Villa in Friendly

Maurizio Sarri was left concerned after Lazio suffered a painful 3-0 loss to Aston Villa in a pre-season friendly.

The Biancocelesti travelled to Walsall, England to play the Villans in their fifth friendly of the pre-season, keen to test their might against a stronger team after rudimentary victories over CS Auronzo, Primorje, Triestina and NK Bravo.

Lazio failed to show much of note against Aston Villa, even if they were without Luis Alberto and new signing Daichi Kamada. The Premier League side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win, with goals from Ollie Watkins, John McGinn and Sebastian Revan.

LazioNews24 highlights how Sarri expected a stronger looking Lazio against Aston Villa and was left with a lot of doubts after the 3-0 defeat.

He is looking for a response in the upcoming friendly with Girona, wanting to see better signs ahead of the coming campaign.

Lazio’s Serie A season kicks off on 20th August with an away trip to Lecce.
